General Membership Meeting Minutes
July 10, 2018

The meeting was called to order at 7:43pm by Tom, K8TB.

Secretary’s report for June was accepted as posted. 

Treasurer’s report (Rich, WA8MTI):
	General Fund = $2,751.56
	Membership Fund = $190.46
	Cash on hand = $5.00
	Total = $2,947.02

Treasurer’s report was accepted as read.

Upcoming Events:

	“Ham in a Day” 
Ham in a Day will be held at 1pm on August 11th at Chick-Owa Sportsman’s Club.  VE Testing follows each event at 6pm.  For more information, or to register for the Ham in a Day class, please visit: http://tinyurl.com/holohiad.

	E.A.T.
This month’s E.A.T. meeting is going to be on July 24, 2018 at 7:00PM led by Jeff, KD8THX. 

2 Meter Net –   The 2m net of the Holland Amateur Radio Club will begin at 7:30p at 147.060.  All amateur radio enthusiasts are welcome to join the net.  Please check in and join the fun!  Feel free to reach out to Kim, N8KAL,  to take Net control.

Ham Fests: Check the ARRLorg website.

Tuesday evenings have been an open radio night here at the Chick-Owa Sportsman’s Club starting around of 6:00p

Old Business:

DMR Repeater – Will be up and running in three or four months.  

New Business:
	
Winter Field Day – Jared KE8GBF and Josh KE8DXB will be heading up a group to participate in winter field day January 28th and 29th, 2019.

CW Class – Dave K8RXB is heading up the class.  Group of 10 people are interest in getting started in code.

Jared KE8GBF is planning on working a com station in a WWII museum in Dublin, Ireland and across Europe the end of July.  Hope you get a chance to work a local amateur from a remote location.  Following is Jared’s itinerary:

* Leaving Grand Rapids July 16th for Cluj, Romania
* Cluj, Romania July 17-20
* Leaving Cluj July 20 for Paris
* Paris July 20-23
* Leaving Paris for Besancon, France July 23
* Besancon, France July 23-26
* Paris July 26-27
* Dublin July 27-28
* Leave for Grand Rapids July 28
Ed Hyboer’s KF8EV “Silent Key” notice has been entered with QST Magazine.

John Fisher is looking for hams for Coast Guard Festival for several events, parade, health and welfare, etc.  – Look for information on the reflector.
