HARC General Membership Meeting Minutes August 13, 2019 The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Zach, KE8BSM. Attendance: 26 Secretary’s Report: Accepted as posted. Treasurer’s Report (Rich, WA8MTI): General Fund: $ 2,927.89 Membership Fund: $ 246.14 Cash on hand: $ 0.00 Paypal Transfer $ 24.15 Total: $ 3,198.18 Treasurer’s report was accepted as read. Upcoming Events: VE Testing: The upcoming VE Testing session will be on second Saturday of November 6:00pm at Chick- Owa. “Ham in a Day”: Ham in a Day will be held at 1pm on December 14th at Chick-Owa. VE Testing follows the event at 6pm. All amateur radio enthusiasts are welcome to join the net. Please check in and join the fun! Feel free to reach out to Kim, N8KAL to take Net Control. There is a template that can be downloaded on the club's website if you are interested in trying a turn as Net Control. Open Radio Night: Tuesday evenings at Chick-Owa, starting around 6pm. September 14th, Michigan State Police is putting on a Prepare Fair in the Walmart Parking Lot in Holland, MI. Todd Boss, W8YHF is looking for people to volunteer to help with communications, Saturday, September 28, 2019. Please contact Todd if you can help. Old Business: Jeff KD8THX is working on Event Bright. The club needs to look to create some content for the site and audience, but gives us a change to advertise our events, etc. Donor section of the website is currently in development. Tom, K8TB will check with the development team and report back. OCARA worked a small event that was dubbed “OCARA Field Day” on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. Working both the Holland repeater and simplex to see how well we can reach the EOC at the Filmore Complex from different areas of Ottawa County. New Business: Shirts are now available for purchase for members of OCARA and Skywarn. Shirts are between eighteen and twenty two dollars. Shirts are being embroidered at Graphix Signs & Embroidery.
