HARC General Membership Meeting Minutes
March 8, 2019

The meeting was called to order at 7:04pm by Zach, KE8BSM.

Attendance: 24

Ron Delpiere-Smith, KD9IPO will talk about distracted driving laws and how they relate to ham radio.

Secretary’s Report:

	Accepted as posted. 

Treasurer’s Report (Rich, WA8MTI):
	
	General Fund:		$ 2,754.70
	Membership Fund:	$    598.90
	Cash on hand:		$        2.75 
	Total:			$ 3,356.35 

	Treasurer’s report was accepted as read.

Upcoming Events:

	VE Testing:
	The upcoming VE Testing session will be on March 9th, 6pm at Chick-Owa.

	“Ham in a Day”:
	Ham in a Day will be held at 1pm on April 13th at Chick-Owa.  VE Testing follows the 		event at 6pm.  For more information, or to register for the Ham in a Day class, please visit: 	http://tinyurl.com/holohiad 

	E.A.T.:
	This month’s E.A.T. meeting will be held on Friday, March 22nd, 2019 lead by Jeff, KD8THX

	2 Meter Net:
	The 2m net of the Holland Amateur Radio Club is held each Monday at 7:30pm on the 147.06 	repeater.  All amateur radio enthusiasts are welcome to join the net.  Please check in and join the 	fun!  Feel free to reach out to Kim, N8KAL to take Net Control.

	Open Radio Night:
	Friday evenings at Chick-Owa, starting around 6pm.  Watch the reflector 	(https://k8daa.groups.io/g/k8daa/topics  for exact dates/times.

	Ottawa County Skywarn Training:
	Tuesday, March 12th, 6:30pm – Grandville Middle School

	CW Class:
	Dave, K8RXB is offering another class; please reach out to Dave if you are interested in 	joining.

	Ottawa County SKYWARN hosted GRLevel3 Training Course - 16 people in attendance.

	Old Business:
	MMDVM Build:
	Dan K8DY & Jeff KD8THX presented a new build project: Multi-Mode Digital Voice Modem 	(MMDVM).  See the reflector for more details: https://k8daa.groups.io/g/k8daa/message/12989

	Contact Dan or Jeff to order a unit.  They are planning to submit the order on Monday.

	OCARA Meeting on Thursday, March 14, 2019 – Zach, KE8BSM is presenting on Winlink.
	
	Maker Labs – Learn to program Arduino Microcontroller – March 19, 2019 6:00p – 8:30p at 	Herrick Public Library. 
	
	Crossroad Hamfest – Kalamazoo March 16, 2019 @ Wings Event Center
