General Membership Meeting Minutes
January 11, 2019
Attendance:  
The business meeting was called to order at 7:01pm by Zack, KE8BSM.
Opened with Pledge of Allegiance 
Secretary’s report for December was accepted as posted. 
Treasurer’s report (Rich, WA8MTI):
        General Fund = $2,690.39
        Membership Fund = $520.26
        Cash on hand = $30.00
	  Total = $3,240.65
Treasurer’s report was accepted as read.

Upcoming Events:
VE Testing and “Ham in a Day”
E.A.T.
This month’s E.A.T. Meeting will be January 25, 2019 at 7:00PM led by Jeff, KD8THX. 
2 Meter Net –   The 2m net of the Holland Amateur Radio Club will begin at 7:30p at 147.060.  All amateur radio enthusiasts are welcome to join the net.  Please check in and join the fun!  Feel free to reach out to Kim to take Net control.
Ham Fests: Check the arrl.org website.
Friday evenings have been an open radio night here at the Chick-Owa Sportsman’s Club starting around of 6:00p.
Skywarn training will be held at Grandville Middle School on Tuesday, March 12th at 6:30P for Ottawa and Kent County.  

Old Business:
DMR Repeater looks to be up and running in about 30 days or so.
Winter Field Day – Jared KE8GBF and Josh KE8DXB will be heading up a group to participate in winter field day January 26th and 27th, 2019.  K8DAA will be holding WFD out at Holland State Park, there is a sign up sheet if you would like to participate.  
CW Class – Dave, K8RXB is offering another class, please reach out to Dave if you are interested in joining.

New Business:  
New Ham/Get out of the Shack – Dinner at Pizza Ranch in Grandville, February 23rd at 2:00PM
Motion was made to support the New Ham dinner with a donation not to exceed $40.00, moved and supported with a vote.
Discussion on hosting a Fox Hunt sometime in April and offering out to area clubs.  More details to come. 
uBitix Build night on Friday, January 17th 6:00P to 9:00P.
Ecolink on “The 06” is going to happen, but will be at the mid year point before it gets finished.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30pm.
