General Membership Meeting Minutes March 14, 2016 The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Nick, KD8JBG. Secretary's Report (Todd, W8YHF): Minutes of the February 2016 meeting were accepted as published on the website. Treasurer's Report (Rich, WA8MTI): General Fund: $3,694.55 Membership: $126.76 Total: $3,821.31 Treasurer's report was accepted as read. Upcoming events: Programs: March: 3/28 E.A.T.: We will be viewing electronics training videos. April: 4/11 Monthly Meeting 4/25 E.A.T.: Tulip Time Radio Programming (see New Business below) VE Testing: VE Testing is conducted at the Red Cross on the second Saturday of each even-numbered month at 6pm. “Ham in a Day” events are held prior to the April, August, and December VE testing sessions at 1pm. The registration form for the Ham in a Day class is located at: http://tinyurl.com/harchiad National Parks on the Air (NPOTA): From the ARRL Website (http://www.arrl.org/NPOTA): “Throughout 2016, Amateur Radio will be helping the National Park Service celebrate their 100th anniversary. Old Business: Repeater Controller: The new controller has been installed. It controls the VHF and UHF repeaters and can be used to link them together. Nick, KD8JBG talked to Julie from “Just a Chance” [http://on.fb.me/21TgLfb] at Skywarn training. She intends to attend one of our club meetings. New Business: Amazon Smile: HARC has set up an account on Amazon to receive a percentage of our members’ Amazon purchases if they choose to designate HARC as their selected charity. Tulip Time: Nick, KD8JBG would like to get everyone together for a radio programming party in the days prior to this years’ parades. We will make this the program for the April E.A.T. meeting. Field Day: John Hanse, AC8HZ will be the Field Day chairman again this year. He is planning on holding the event at East Saugatuck Park again this year.
