General Membership Meeting Minutes July 13, 2015 The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Tom, K8TB. Secretary's Report: Minutes of the June 2015 meeting were accepted as published on the HARC website. Treasurer's Report: General Fund: $3969.02 Membership: $86.76 Total: $4,055.78 Treasurer and secretary reports were accepted as read. Opening Remarks: $149.10 was spent on Bob Heil books. $200 spent to renew liability insurance. John N8WVN is back home from the hospital and on the air. 8 people signed up for Ham in a Day. Terry N8OKR builds linear amplifiers, maybe could be recruited to show the off at Spark in The Park. Upcoming events: Programs: August: August 1, 3-8pm Spark in The Park: Co-sponsored by HARC along with other area clubs. http://www.k8tb.org/sitp.htm Search and Rescue agencies from surrounding counties have been invited. "Made in Michigan" tables to be present, including Tennadyne, W8AMZ Antennas and Solar 24. KC9ON will display his attenuator kits used for fox hunting. August 8, Ham in a Day The next scheduled Ham in a Day, with 8 people already signed up. September September 26, Park 2 Park Race Six hams are needed for simplex operation in support of this event. 7:00am to 12:30pm. VE Testing: VE Testing is conducted at the Red Cross on the second Saturday of each even- numbered month at 6pm. “Ham in a Day” events are held prior to the April, August, and December VE testing sessions at 1pm. Field Day 2015 Band conditions were poor to start, but picked up as the weekend went on. Phil and Tracie set a new club record for 6 meters, at 13 contacts. Kim did a great job with the dinner, as always. New Business: No new business. The business meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm followed by a coax testing session.
