General Membership Meeting Minutes June 8, 2015 The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Tom, K8TB. Secretary's Report: Minutes of the May 2015 meeting were accepted as published on the HARC website. Treasurer's Report: General Fund: $4,004.45 Membership: $86.76 Total: $4,091.21 Treasurer and secretary reports were accepted as read. Opening Remarks: The secretary's report was accepted as published on the website. N8WVN is doing better and looking forward to coming home. John Hanse won a Diamond SX-600 meter at Dayton Hamvention. Kim won an HT at IRA Ham Swap. GRARA Swap coming up in September. Upcoming events: Programs: June: June 13, QRP in the Park 10:00 am - 3:00pm Chris organizing the event at Helder Park. June 13-15, ARRL VHF Contest 50.125 to work Tom K8TB on six meters. This year’s location is East Saugatuck Community Park. "Made in Michigan" tables to be present, including Antennadyne, W8AMZ Antennas and Solar 24. KC9ON will display his attenuator kits used for fox hunting. August 8, Ham in a Day The next scheduled Ham in a Day. VE Testing: VE Testing is conducted at the Red Cross on the second Saturday of each even- numbered month at 6pm. “Ham in a Day” events are held prior to the April, August, and December VE testing sessions at 1pm. The registration form for the December Ham in a Day class is located here: http://tinyurl.com/harchiad Old Business: Ben Roels Tom replied to Mr. Roels to inform him that we will be returning his Father's FT-897D to him. Keyers for New CW Ops Ernie wonders what happened to keyers that were previously donated to the club. May have been lost when the old clubhouse was sold. New Business: Spark in The Park No charge to attend, event starts at 3:00pm. At 6:00pm attendees will be asked to show their "go kits." Field Day 2015 Art may not be available this year, so the 80m station is available. John will have a couple extra radios available. We will be at East Saugatuck Community Park again this year. May have a 10 and 15 meter station, we have not had 10 in a few years. Supper served around 6:30, chicken, burgers, brats, please bring a dish to pass. We will be operating under the club call sign K8DAA. The business meeting was adjourned at 7:44pm followed by a presentation by Andy N8HUB showing his 2 meter 3D folded dipole antenna.
