June 11, 2012 general Membership Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by President, Ike, K8EMU at 7:00 PM. 
     Ike had everyone introduce themselves.
     The secretary’s report was read, accepted and approved.
     The treasurer’s report was a total of $ 4,737.92 in the accounts. Accepted and approved. 
Old Business
    Phil, K8PVH has more membership cards. 
New Business
Committee Reports
     Education. Chris, KC8RQT has received little feedback about the kits to be built. 
	It was requested that there be a technician “Ham In A Day” class this fall.
      	Byran, KD8LDX volunteered to head this up, and Tom K8TB will help him. 
     Events. Bryan, KD8LDX and Phil, K8PVH report that all 6 stations for field day are filled up. 
    A motion was made and approved to allocate $ 150 for food and $ 75 for gas for field day. 
          Ike mentioned that there was a request for communication help for parking at the Vietnam 
Veteran 
          Wall display that will be at the Graafschap Christian Reformed Church, July 4th.

     On September 8 there will be a Cystic Fibrosis “Cycle for your Life” event that will need 
communication help.

We then had a pause in the meeting for refreshments. 
Meeting Talk: The talk was an informal review of QRP in the Park, VHF contest in the Park, and of the 
upcoming Field Day. Talk also included thoughts on Dayton, 2012, especially from those who saw it for 
the first time.
