Holland Amateur Radio Club Board of Directors Minutes of Meeting January 4, 2011 Call to Order: 7:00pm. President: Megan WO0MEG. Clubhouse – HARC has officially vacated the premises as of November 31, 2010. HARC obligations for utilities have been paid through November. December utility bills have been forwarded to the City of Holland, who assume financial responsibility for the clubhouse as of December 1, 2010. Keys to the facility have also been turned over to the City. Recommended Annual Membership Dues for 2011 $20.00 for first family member $10.00 for each additional family member No extra charge for school-age children who are still in school through Grade 12. Members must once again determine the location of the Annual Banquet. This will be brought up at the January General Membership meeting. Vice-President: Phil K8PVH Nothing to report Treasurer: Jim KC8KE HARC will make a $10.00 donation towards a “Thank You” plaque to be presented to retiring Ottawa County Emergency Coordinator Bill Smith. Treasurer's Report to be presented at the January meeting. Secretary: Jim N8QMD Nothing to report. Club Station Committee: Dave WA8RSA IRLP equipment will be relocated to the Red Cross facility. Laryn K8TVZ will lead this effort, and will coordinate with Steve N8UJD and the Red Cross personnel. Education Committee: Ed KF8EV Class schedules will be as follows: January 11 - March 29 CW class January 12 - March 31 Technician License Class January 13 – March 30 General License Class April 2 – VE Test Emergency Committee: Steve N8UJD Nothing to report Buildings and Facilities Committee: Hank KA8COB Nothing to report. General Discussion: There was more discussion about the HARC Membership Directory. The Board recommended that all current and past members should be included, as well as other hams from the local geographical area. Monday Night 2 Meter Net Beginning in 2011, the scheduled Net time conflicts with general membership meetings. The Net will remain on Monday nights. The Board recommends continuing the “loss of repeater” drills during randomly-selected Nets. Great Lakeshore Super Swap If HARC is to sponsor a Swap in 2011, a Chairman and Committee must be identified not later than the March General Membership Meeting. In other words, No Committee = No Swap. Board Members cannot Chair any other committee.
