President: Megan, WO0MEG read the letters received from the City of Holland and the notice that posted on the K8DAA Yahoo Group outlining the events that will lead to the closing of the clubhouse. The goal of the Board is to remove all HARC property before December and turn the building, and the utilities billing, back to the City of Holland. Megan explained that the Holland Fire Department is converting their Conference Room into a Training Room and would not be able to accommodate our meetings next year. The Board has agreed that the best location for the club meetings will be at the Red Cross of Ottawa County, who have offered us the use of their faculties to support the club. We have have scheduled the dates for next year's meetings and classes with the Red Cross facility. Members are encouraged to continue to look for any alternative facilities and bring them to the Board. Vice-President: Jim, KC8KE explained that the 'advertising ban' for posts made on the K8DAA Yahoo Group (passed at the September Meeting) means that posts and signature lines may not contain advertising for commercial products or services, but posts may offer personal amateur radio equipment and related items that are either wanted or for sale. Treasurer: The September Treasurer's Report that was handed out at the meeting. Secretary: Jim N8QMD, nothing to report. Education: Ed KF8EV, nothing else to report. Repeater: Laryn K8TVZ, nothing to report. New Business: There was discussion about purchasing a spare lamp for the club projector. The agreement was that, given the cost of a new lamp, we will wait until the lamp fails before exploring all options at that time. There was no other new business. Adjourned: 9:00 pm Respectfully submitted Jim Heyl, N8QMD, Secretary secretary@hollandarc.org Please contact the Secretary with comments or corrections.
