Holland Amateur Radio Club Board of Directors Minutes of Meeting October 5, 2010 Call to Order: 7:00pm. President: Megan WO0MEG. As reported at the September General Meeting, estimates for the roof and chimney repairs total over $15,000. Neither the City of Holland nor our club is financially able to undertake these repairs. The City has informed us that since repairs will not be made the property has been listed for sale. The City agreed that we may remain in the building until December 31, 2010, or if it is sold we will have to vacate by the closing date. We must plan for and begin an orderly exit from this building. Vice-President: Jim KC8KE, nothing to report Treasurer: Phil K8PVH - preliminary Treasurer's Report, with revised report to be submitted at next General Membership meeting Secretary: Jim N8QMD, nothing to report. Education: Ed KF8EV, nothing to report. Repeater: Laryn K8TVZ, nothing to report. Discussion: Moving out of the building Jim KC8KE and Dave WA8RSA said that they will disconnect, pack and remove antennas and radio equipment. Jim N8QMD and Mike WD8NHA have prepared an inventory list of club equipment. This list includes a “Custody” column so that we can track the location of all property in the inventory. It was suggested that it would be better to let members take possession of some equipment, and auction the rest, rather than have the club pay for a storage unit for an indefinite time. It was also suggested that we hold a silent auction at the clubhouse. Adjourned: 9:00 pm Respectfully submitted Jim Heyl, N8QMD, Secretary secretary@hollandarc.org Please contact the Secretary with comments or corrections.
