General Announcements: Muskegon Summer Celebration is asking for radio volunteers There will be EOC Staff Training May 20, 2010 Burn Survivors at 5/3 ballpark is asking for radio volunteers. Please contact John Hanse, KC8QE for further details There will be a Museum Ships Special Event June 5-6, 2010 Please put your name on the Cookie sign up sheet. We need more volunteers to provide calories for the Club! There will be a debriefing meeting May 13, 2010 for OCEC members. OCEC will also be sending out a survey to all who participated in Tulip Time events The Goodies Factory discount coupon books have not arrived, and will be distributed for sale at the next meeting The HARC June meeting will be MONDAY, June 7, 2010. The HARC July meeting will MONDAY, July 12, 2010. Please contact Chris KC8RQT for further details. “Great Lakes Superswap” is a GO! Co-chairs are Jeff KB8QAP and Ike K8EMU Hank KA8COB was chief negotiator for room rental and custodial services. The school needs a $247.00 down payment. Motion was made by Alan, NV8A to authorize this payment, supported by Kim N8KAL, motion was approved. Swap Committee meeting will be held 9:00am May 20, 2010 at the clubhouse. BOARD AND COMMITTEE REPORTS Vice-President: Jim KC8KE, nothing to report. Treasurer: The April Treasurer's Report that was handed out at the meeting. Phil, K8PVH noted that the HARC treasury also received $70 in income from Tulip Time parking fees. Motion to approve the report as handed out was made by Ken N8AAE, and with support from Bob W8AOP the motion carried. Phil announced that the Club's 501(c)3 status in now up-to-date and all late fees have been paid. He also noted that there is a continuing requirement for annual updates to keep this status. Secretary: Jim N8QMD announced a change in the way Minutes of Meetings and RST will be distributed. Beginning in May, a post on the website will announce the Minutes and the RST, and a copy will be available for download directly from within that post. March Minutes were published in the April RST. Motion to approve the minutes as published made by Dave WA8RSA, with support from Hank KC8COB. Motion carried. Education: Mike WD8HNA will offer to lead CW classes beginning June 1, 2010. Jim N8QMD and Tom K8TB will lead Technician and Extra classes this fall. Those interested should contact the Education Committee, Ed KF8EV or any club officer. Hank, KA8COB donated a Technician License Class Study manual to HARC. Thank you, Hank. Repeater: Laryn K8TVZ, nothing to report. We have a goal of $800 for our Repeater Fund. SWAP: HARC 2010 Swap co-chairs are Ike K8EMU and Jeff KB8QAP, with help from John KC8QDE. Field Day Committee: Phil K8PVH and Ken N8AAE. Phil still needs some Band Captains.
