October 13th, 2009 Meeting Minutes

The Meeting was called to order at 7:15. 26 people filled in the sign-in sheet

Chuck W8GCW gave the treasurer’s report : the main account had a balance of $1219.73 and the swap account had a balance of $2436.21

Meg W0MEG talked about events coming up before the end of the year. She also passed out a year end event calendar. Ham of the year ballets where also passed out.

Ed KF8EV Said the Monday night net is going well. we had 19 check in. If you would take a turn at running the net just let Ed or Meg know. The Tech class is over and we have about 6 people that are ready to take the test at the hamfest on Saturday.

ED KF8EV  Education report, a brief discussion was held about the need for either a projection machine or a flat screen tv for use in the licensing classes. This would also be valuable when obtaining speakers for the monthly business meetings. We also want to formerly thank Ernie, W8EL for the use of his projecter during the last couple of years. Tom, K8TB let us use his projecter for the tech licensing class this Fall. Your kindness is appreciated.

Chris KC8RQT told the club about the upcoming Nov 21st event for The Girls on the run. More information will be posted at a later time.
