    Minutes for the Holland Amateur Radio Club business meeting for March 10th at 7:15 PM

    The meeting was called to order at 7:15 PM. 30 people filled in the
    sign-in sheet.

    Phil K8PVH gave the treasurer’s report : the main account had a balance of $1817.93 and the swap account had a balance of $2500.00

    Kim N8KAL is asking for input and help cleaning up the storage room. We need to move some of the items at the mini swaps and junk the rest.

    Tom K8TB reported on the class testing for new hams. We had seven out of eight pass the tech test and a few upgrades.

    Chris KC8RQT said that the club is looking for any documents, articles, newspaper clippings etc.
    We would like to get things together and scan the items and put it all on a CD or DVD to keep some club history for future members.

    Chris KC8RQT said that we will need more hamfest signs for the swap this year.

    * Meg W0MEG asked if anyone wants to join or renew a membership for the ARRL please do it through the club. The club will get a few bucks per sign up.

    At the close of the meeting all the officers got together and signed the bylaws for the club.

    *50/50 drawing. The jackpot of $17.00 was won by WB9JSR and a $17.00 and he won a Heathkit swr meter. Meg W0MEG won some speakers and W8EL won a band cart.

    Minutes for the Holland Amateur Radio Club business meeting for
    February 10th 2009 at 7:15 PM.

    The meeting was called to order at 7:15 PM. 28 people filled in the
    sign-in sheet.

    Phil K8PVH gave the treasurer’s report : the main account had a
    balance of $1817.93 and the swap account had a balance of $2500.00

    Kim N8KAL thanked the club for all the prayers for his dad that just
    had heart surgery.

    Jim W8MRR wanted to know what the history of the Holland club was and
    how long we have been a club. Jim will look into the history of the
    club and look at the clubs paper work and report back.

    Ed KF8EV said we have about 3 weeks to go on the general class. He
    also thanked all involved in teaching and helping with the class.

    Chuck W8GCW said we need to pick a date for the hamfest. The club
    voted for the date of October 17th. The hamfest will be on October
    17th 2009.

    Tom K8TB said he would chair the hamfest event for 2009. Thanks Tom!

    Ernie W8EL said the by-laws will be posted on club web page. Ernie
    gave the club a printed copy.

    Tom K8TB made a motion to accept the new by laws as written. N8QEM
    seconded it. All said I. We now have new by laws. Thank you Ernie for
    all the work on this.

    The club will not be a official sponsor of the tulip time via the Red
    Cross, however anyone in the club is welcome to work the event. The
    club will let the repeater be used for the event.

    *50/50 drawing. The jackpot of $13.00 was won by N8QEM and a $5.00
    gift card was won by Tom KD8JX.
