January 13th 2009 at 7:15 PM.The meeting was called to order at 7:15 PM. 24 people filled in the
sign-in sheet.Megan W0OMEG gave the treasurer’s report : the main account had a
balance of $2298.36 and the swap account had a balance of $2500.00Megan W0OMEG said the if we need to cancel a meeting due to weather it
will be on WOOD-TV CH 8.Chuck W8GCW said that we need to set a date for the hamfest for 2009.
We are going to have it the day before the Kalamazoo’s hamfest. We are
waiting to hear from the Kalamazoo club for the date of there hamfest.
We will table this until the next meeting.Ernie W8EL went over many changes and updates to the club by laws.
Each one was voted on and approved. We now have updated by laws!!!!
Thank you Ernie for all your hard work!!!Thanks to John WB9JSR for his presentation on the National Traffic System.
*50/50 drawing. The jackpot of $7.00 was won by Mike WD8NHA. A candy
mug was won by Ernie W8EL. Another candy mug was won by Laryn K8TVZ,
Laryn also won a $5.00 gift card for Perkins.* The meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:35PM.

Meeting called to order by W8GCW
Introductions were done and the sign-up was passed. Thirteen signed in.
Phil, K8PVH, made treasurers report showing General account of $ 2,218.59
Hamfest account $ 2,500.oo
this is reported AFTER taking hamfest account over $ 2,500.oo and
transferring it into the general account.Phil also reported that we will be running short on funds in 2009,
since expenses appear to be more that projected revenues. The shortage
is projected to be $ 1,474.28. This amount is calculated AFTER receipt
of 2009 dues which will be about $ 1,440.00.Suggestions needed to locate additional funds.
Phil also said that ’09 dues can now be paid
Due to he condition of the club’s treasury, the matter of contributing
additionally to the Ken Groom Benefit fund was not approved. We can
give additional funds at a later date if funds are available.Ernie, W8EL,reported that the by laws revisions are ready for approval
Ed, KF8EV, reported that a CD is available for class instruction, The
cost will be $ 75.00.
Also a discussion of class fees was a part of this discussion. Up to $
75.00as approved. (PERSONAL NOTE Actually about55.00. Ed expressed
some disappointment in the product)Arby’s gave us 6 free meal tickets for the 50 / 50 drawing. thanks to
Ike, K8EMU for obtaining these. They will need a letter of
appreciation for this. (Mr. Secretary to do this.)Election of officers for “09
