2008 October Meeting Minutes

Minutes for the Holland Amateur Radio Club business meeting for
October 14th 2008 at 7:15 PM.

The meeting was called to order at 7:15 PM. 28 people filled in the
sign-in sheet.

*Phil K8PVH gave the treasurer’s report : the main account had a
balance of $1200.29 and the swap account had a balance of $2466.32

*Ed KF8EV said we are finishing up a tech class and will have a
testing session the week after the swap on October 27th.

*Chuck W8GCW and Hank KA8COB updated us on the swap and things that
needed to be done. Sue KC8RQT updated us on table and ticket sales.

*Chuck N8QEM presented a copy of the list of hams that checked into
the last call net for Ken Groom ZR5AAD for the club to display.

*Ron KC8OVR updated us on some prices for a plaque for a list of SK.
Ron is going to get more pricing and information for our next meeting

*Chuck W8GCW said that John WD8BWK is getting more information on club
logo jackets.

*Chuck W8GCW said we should starting thinking about club officers for
next year, and we need to pick a place for our November dinner. Many
places where talked about and chuck said he would post more
information and the HARC message board.

The club would also like to note the sad passing of Larry England
K8GMO’s wife.

*50/50 drawing. The jackpot of $7.00 was won by Hank KA8COB. A
screwdriver set was won by John WD8BWK. The Fort Wayne hamfest tickets
won by Tom K8TB, Hank KA8COB and two others.

Chris KC8RQT and Ernie W8EL did a demo on oscilloscopes.

* The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:45PM.
